Try sweet and salty recipes, for example spice-up a marinade with syrup of pineapple or coconut.

For the dessert, a drizzle of strawberry syrup will be the perfect match to give a little kick to your fruit salad! A yogurt or a panacotta can also easily be perfumed by

syrup, almost any will do, just put a full tablespoon in each pot.

You can also amaze your friends with an apple pie decorated by a chocolate Chantilly cream: whip very cold liquid cream with chocolate syrup. Your piece of cake will be unique!

Another easy trick thanks to syrups is to make at home your own water-based ice using ice pop freezer molds and a stick… or even more simply multicolored and sweet ice cubes.

  • Apple pie with orgeat syrup

    Ingredients (for 4 people):
    • 3 eggs
    • 1 yoghurt (keep the pot as measure)
    • 1 pot of sugar
    • 1/2 pot of orgeat syrup
    • 1/2 pot of oil
    • 4 tablespoons of cream
    • 1 sachet of yeast
    • 3 and a half pots of flour
    • 4 apples
    • 60g of flaked almonds
    Preparation:

    In a bowl, break the eggs, add the yoghurt, the sugar, and then beat a few moments.

    Add also the cream, the oil and the orgeat syrup, to obtain a smooth mixture. Finish by adding the flour and the yeast. Pour the preparation into a buttered and floured mold.

    Preheat your oven between 180°C to 210°C.

    Peel and cut your apples in fine lamellas to place nicely on the dough. Sprinkle flaked almonds on the set of apples.

    Put in the oven during approximately 35 minutes; verify the cooking with the point of a knife.

    Let cool and sprinkle with icing sugar.
